When planning a vacation to the beautiful island, it’s important to know where to stay and play in Aruba. Aruba is a Dutch island in the Caribbean located 15 miles north of the coast of Venezuela. The island itself is so tranquil it feels as if you are apart of a storybook. The weather is perfect while the palm trees sway in the wind and the water is calm and crystal clear. The island hands down has to be one of the most beautiful and picture pleasing islands I have ever been to!
I know you are thinking the same thing my parents thought when I said I would be traveling to Aruba. Is it safe? The answer is yes, it is safe. I made sure I had done all of my research on resorts and excursions before I arrived. Everyone that I had encountered was so helpful and welcoming.
Where to stay in Aruba:
After hours of research and reading tons of reviews, I decided to stay at Hotel Riu Palace Aruba, and I was very pleased with my stay. The view at the resort is breath taking! The pictures do not do it justice to just how gorgeous this resort is.
The resort was rated one of the top 10 resorts in Aruba, and I must agree. If you want a top notch all inclusive resort, this is the place to be! The resort was clean, and the food was fresh and delicious every day and night. I honestly enjoyed my stay, and I felt comfortable, safe and free to explore the island and all it had to offer.
Where To Play In Aruba:
After you have settled into this beautiful resort and soaked up the sun and relaxed by the ocean, it’s time to play! Wake up first thing in the morning and go down to the lobby to see what excursions they have to offer. The are usually there until around noon. The earlier you book, the better chances you have to get on the expedition of your choice. My friend and I decided to live on the edge and go for the Sea Trek excursion at De Palm Island. You get picked up at a designated time at your resort, and off you go on a bus ride to the boat dock. Once you arrive at the boat dock, they take small groups of people over to De Palm Island.
This little island is overflowing with a ton of adventurous things to do. You can snorkel, enjoy the small water park or take a ride on the banana boat. We zip lined over sand with a view of the ocean, that was exhilarating! After we had some fun in the sun on the island, it was our turn for the Sea Trek excursion. I was anxious as we sat through the what or what not to do video. We walked in a small group to the end of the dock. One by one we walked down the ramp into the ocean, and they placed the helmet right on my head before I became immersed in the water.
I was hesitant at first as you can tell in the picture. I kept thinking I can’t see what’s coming from behind me so let me keep my hands close to my body lol.
Palm Beach Aruba:
This expedition exceeded my expectations, and it is one I will never forget. If you ever find yourself traveling to Aruba staying in the palm beach area, and you want to embark on a voyage, this is a must do adventure!
Until I meet with this stunning island again, I will always have these magnificent memories on where I stayed and played on the gorgoues island!
